2nd Fishing Mania

11-10-2009 Sunday
It was the 2nd time we went for fishing.
We went to the beach in front of ours house.
It rained in the morning, we planned to cancel the fishing trip. Luckily, it stopped in the afternoon.
Daddy went to Gertak Sanggul with Yun Zhern to buy cacing (earth worm).
After that, we went McDonalds again for our brunch. (We usually brunch in Sunday)





Chien was excited to feel the fish biting into the bait.
she shouted, "有tot tot tot 了!"

Fathers need to be more involved in their children's lives

Honey dad have fun with kids before going to work

They used to greet their dad "bye, honey dad, see you, honey dad, i love you, honey dad, good luck, honey dad."

Sometimes Yun Zhern refuse to let his daddy to go to work.

"daddy不要去做工啦!" don't go to work, dad.

"daddy 这么久还没有回来的。" why does daddy haven't come back yet?

It is a giant chopping board, surprise ya...

This big thick chopping board was so heavy as I could barely pick it up to clean. It looked great and was fun to work on, but, oh, so heavy!

'Honey Dad...'- My lovely kids address their daddy.

I am glad to have a hubby who always spend time with the kids. They are proud to have a lovely dad as well.

We have dinner together everyday. Daddy jokes, shares his topics with us.
The kids keep talking and tell daddy what they have done on the day....

Daddy is busy, he doesn't allow himself to be free. He keeps himself busy of gardening, keeping fish every evening. And the important task is playing with the kids and teaching them about the nature life......
They catch caterpillars, butterflies, insects, ants and sometimes snakes. I feel disgusting but luckily their dad does it. They learnt a lot from him.

Sick:Cikungunya

A lot of people having chikungunya(基孔症) in this season....

Yes, I 'm the lucky one as well.....

Past story ( April 20....) But the pain wont go until now...

Wednesday:
I was having fever and it caused rashes and joint pain.
When i woke up at 1am, i felt a little painful of joint, but it became worse at night.

Thursday:
The next morning (Thursday) i couldn't get up and stand , Wei(my little pretty sister) fetch me to Penang General Hospital. I did blood test for Denggi and Chikungunya. But they showed negative. The doctor said that was normal fever.
I took rest at my mom house. So, I missed out Chien's homeschooling lesson. I took Panadol pill.
When Eddy came back from work, he bought me new medicine which is more powerful.
Eddy helped me to apply YokoYoko for joint paining. It worked. The fever gone but the still felt the painful of joint.

Friday-
I could do some house hold chores on Friday.

Saturday:
Hooray!!! Recovered.

Sunday:
In the morning, i got rashes suddenly, I went to Public Clinic (Sungai Ara). The doctor suspected Chikungunya. The likely symtom. I planned to go for checking the next morning.

Monday:
I went to clinic Jalan Tenggah to do blood test again. The same thing happenned, that was not Chikungunya. Fever. It made me worried.
The grateful thing is Chien helped me up. She took care of Zhern.
She knew that I was unable to walk as normal. She helped me for taking medician.
"Thanks, Yi Chien, I love you."
Chien had to stay back at school for her computer class the next morning. I told her I would not able to send her the bento for lunch. So I prepared bread for her. She agreed. Yes, she is thoughtfully. "Good girl."

Tuesday:
My legs swelled up, I went to G.H. again at 12am with my dad, (thanks, papa).
I admitted. But I discharged the next afternoon with nothing serios......

Heard from others, this is the symtom of Chikungunya.

Joint pain,Fevel,Rashes and swell .

Yun Zhern Cutting Hair- Posted by Xiao Ah Yi (pretty little aunt)

He likes cutting hair.
He sat quietly and waited for Er Ah Yi (2nd aunt) to cut his hair.
Er Ah Yi owns a hair saloon, K ren Hair Saloon in Teluk Kumbar. She is pregnant now.

An aunty sat beside said, he looks like a girl.
Er Ah Yi took up his hair and said, "Like a girl."
Yun Zhern,"对啊！好像姐姐咯！" (Yes, look like my sister)
He has pretty face, like her sister. Sometimes, strangers get confusing of it.
One of my friends, Pin Huan, thought that he is a girl. A few weeks later, I told her that he is my sister's son. He then realised Yun Zhern is a boy. Unbelievable, he thinks.

Er Ah Yi discovered that his hair is cut by himself.
He said he used scissors and cut, then got scolding by mummy.
This is what a lot of children did during their childhood. But, I didn't.



Yun Zhern kept asking,"好了吗？ 二阿姨，好了吗？" (Have u finished cutting, aunt?)
He lost his patience.

Happy Dumpling's day

Yun Zhern likes dumpling very much, but Yi Chien doesn't like it at all. She is a food picker whereas Yun Zhern like a "sampah tong"(Garbage bin), what I always comment on it.

Yun Zhern refused to put the dumpling in the plate. He said he can manage to hold in hands and eat, like what the "coffee shop"uncle did. Because my dad went there with him.

He has very good motor skill. He managed it very well.

Children need a lot of skill practise.

For mums, don't scared of messy and dirty. Let them try on.

Messy and dirty can be clean up, whereas timing of learning will not turn up again......

Chien and Zhern enjoy mopping the floor when I was busy at the kitchen.


They used cloths and a pail of water to do the job. They did it quietly because planned to surprise me.







When it was done, they called me. YUP, they did a good job.

Teacher's Day

Today Yi Chien's school are celebrating teacher's Day . We made this for her teachers, the idea is from Skip To My Lou, Thanks!

Chien added a cute card which she drew.

We also prepared food , we made kebabs .

The eggs are almost cooked 'sunny-side-up' (单面荷包蛋) with the half cooked yolk. You can then dip your bread with it. It is delicious .Try it on.

Fishing Dream

My boy couldn't wait any longer for fishing. He created his own fish with cloth pegs.
He said, "Look, I've got fish ,the rod is bending!" how creative he is.

Building Speech

Parents naturally expect their child to acquire speech as they grow from an infant to a preschooler. As parents you are important for build up in the language process. The researchers found that "as the children grew they became more and more like their parents in vocabulary size, language, and interaction style. About 90% of the words recorded in each child’s vocabulary were also found in their parents." So if a parent didn't use the word the child didn't either. Speak to your child. Talk to them about the things that you and they are doing.
